In today’s world, a beautiful smile is not just a matter of aesthetics, but often the key to self-confidence. More and more people are coming to aesthetic dentists because, as Dr. Maciej Drosd says, “they feel limited, something is wrong, they can’t fully express themselves. They are bothered by crooked, small, invisible, discolored, worn-out teeth. On the other hand, in essence, it’s always about them being ashamed to smile.”
Technology that is changing treatment
Today’s cosmetic dentistry is all about precise planning. “When my dad was still working as a dentist, problems were solved on the fly. Because of this, the result obtained was often somewhat accidental. Today, we are always guided first and foremost by the aesthetics of the smile,” says Maciej Drosd.
With three-dimensional visualizations and digital images, patients can see what they will look like even before treatment begins. Only then are the appropriate methods chosen – from conservative treatment to orthodontics, implantology or veneers.
Holistic approach
Drosd points out that “a person is not just a carrier of teeth – he is, after all, a complex living being.” At his clinic, not only dental treatment is important, but also the mental comfort of patients. “In the first place, we try to establish a safe operating regime for the patient, one that will give them mental comfort,” he adds.
The process begins with a simulation of the end result, so the patient knows where the next steps of treatment are going. Turnaround time is another important element – the clinic has its own laboratory, which speeds up the whole process.
DentalCamp – a quick makeover
With busy patients in mind, the concept of DentalCamp was created by Maciej Drosd – an intensive, multi-day treatment. “We are able to encapsulate most of the smile makeovers in three days – from Monday to Wednesday – of our patients’ stay at one of our clinics,” the dentist explains.
This solution is especially popular among people who cannot afford long-term treatment and numerous visits.
New smile, new quality of life
The greatest satisfaction for the team is the patients’ stories. “These are always stories full of emotions. There are sometimes emotions, tears, warm moments. I especially like the moments when, after several months, a person arrives who was previously contrite, invisible, and suddenly enters confident, smiling, with a new hairstyle, a different look. These stories stay with us forever and are, without a doubt, a driving force for action,” says Drosd.
How much does a new smile cost?
The cost of a metamorphosis depends on the extent of treatment. “The simplest metamorphosis, in people with a set of relatively healthy teeth, using composite, costs about 10 thousand zlotys. This is an attractive option especially for young people,” the expert explains.
More permanent results require ceramic veneers, the cost of which starts at about 30 thousand zlotys. “These veneers that we put on our patients today are about ten times harder than the classic ones, making them last twenty, thirty or sometimes even more years.” While the prices may seem high, patients often see it as an investment in a better quality of life for decades to come.
