Dior elevates the Advent calendar category to the level of a collectible object for the 2026 holiday season. La Malle des Rêves, or the “Trunk of Dreams,” is a limited edition Advent calendar from Dior. It is available in only 170 individually numbered pieces. Reports are already coming in from France and the United Kingdom: this marvel is already sold out! The price is 7,500 euros. But it doesn’t seem high at all considering what you get in return. The calendar sells out in a flash. Is that why it stirs up so much excitement and desire?
What is the limited edition advent calendar from Dior?
This is not a classic calendar with 24 cosmetic miniatures. It is a real project and a refined creation, both in terms of construction and design. Dior has designed La Malle des Rêves as a miniature vanity reminiscent of a dollhouse. Does it bring back the magic of childhood at Christmas? The house is equipped with a mirror and 24 drawers. After Advent, the calendar transforms into a unique box, perfect for storing jewelry, keepsakes, and personal collections.
24 surprises, but the contents definitely go beyond the standard beauty set
The scale of this year’s edition is most evident in the product formats. The trunk contained:
- 6 La Collection Privée eau de parfums, 100 ml each: Bois Talisman, Rose Star, Gris Dior, Dior Paradise, Jasmin des Anges, and Oud Ispahan,
- 4 Esprits de Parfum at 80 ml each: Gris Dior, Jasmin des Anges, Ambre Nuit, and Rouge Trafalgar,
- 3 hair perfumes of 40 ml each,
- two Gris Dior products for hand and body care, 300 ml each,
- Dior Délice candle 250 g,
- candle care accessories,
- eight Christmas tree ornaments and a gilded metal star,
- travel spray and couture cap for the bottle,
- silk Mitzah scarf,
- a pair of earrings,
- exclusive Dior snow globe.
Junon dress. The symbolic heart of the calendar
The heart of the project is the Junon dress, designed by Christian Dior for the Fall–Winter 1949 “Mid-Century” haute couture collection. Dior placed its miniature representation at the center of the trunk, in a gingerbread-inspired setting. Right next to it stands the iconic médaillon chair.

The Junon dress is not just a striking decorative motif. It represents the moment when the Dior house was building its own haute couture language: theatrical, feminine, and deeply rooted in craftsmanship and ornamentation. Placing it in La Malle des Rêves transforms this archival design from fashion history into a collectible work.
30 Avenue Montaigne: the address that became part of Dior’s DNA
The name and narrative of La Malle des Rêves refer to 30 Avenue Montaigne, Dior’s historic address in Paris. It was around this place that Christian Dior established the first headquarters of his brand. This was the heart of Dior. Here, he brought together the haute couture atelier, salons, workspace, and the world of collection presentations.
That’s why for Dior, 30 Avenue Montaigne is now more than just an address. In La Malle des Rêves, it is transformed into a miniature world where fashion, perfume, decoration, and the art of living come together as a single historical narrative. Not an advent calendar, but the story of the brand.
Why does the limited edition Dior advent calendar spark desire?
The value of the project is determined not only by its cosmetic contents. Dior limited production to 170 numbered trunks, and the construction itself was designed to remain in the home even after the holidays. The price of 7,500 euros places it in a completely different category than the standard Dior calendar, which was sold in the same season for around 690 euros.
It is therefore best to interpret La Malle des Rêves 2026 not as “the most expensive Dior advent calendar,” but as a collectible object that combines haute couture, perfumery, interior design, and the holiday ritual.
It is precisely this change of category that is the most interesting aspect of the project. Dior sells 24 moments of gift discovery, but above all, creates an object meant to last long after them. A miniature fragment of the world of 30 Avenue Montaigne.
