Louis Vuitton introduces the LV Ski collection for the 2026 winter season. The collection features pieces suited for every moment of a resort getaway. From the first run down the slopes to dinner at the chalet. It includes genuine ski apparel and technical accessories, but the majority of the collection is dedicated to après-ski wardrobe. Louis Vuitton does not pretend to be a ski brand. LV Ski 2026 is rather the luxury fashion house’s answer to what winter leisure looks like today. With mascots, boot crampons, unconventional handbags, and clothing for dogs.

A ski trip in the interpretation of LV

The slope is just one part of the entire resort experience. Alongside thrilling descents, there’s the hotel, restaurant, walks, aperitif, and evening. That’s why, next to the sporty jacket, you’ll find cashmere, tweed, shearling, wide jeans, capes, ankle boots, and handbags.

Louis Vuitton itself describes the collection as a wardrobe for every stage of a “mountain journey.” From technical outfits to sophisticated après-ski and leather accessories. The women’s line currently features 185 products.

Ski wear from LV or just pretending to be sporty?

The sports section features genuinely ski-inspired designs and materials. The collection includes pieces that can easily be described as technical ski apparel, but alongside them, there are plenty of garments suited only for the resort. After all, it’s hard to imagine elegant LV handbags or a tweed dress paired with skis.

However, when it comes to technical apparel, LV Ski 2026 delivers. The ski jackets not only look sporty. They are made from waterproof materials. They feature a membrane, taped seams, snow skirts, belts, underarm ventilation, pockets for ski passes and goggles, and cuffs with thumbholes. All in true LV style.

For example, the Bijoux Printed Ski Jacket or the Graphic Signature Ski Jacket are highly rated, technical ski wear. The collection also includes matching pants. Meanwhile, their fashionable look ensures they look great in any situation and place.

It’s the same with the new LV 360 mask. Louis Vuitton approached the goggles as a fully-fledged technical product. They equipped them with an interchangeable lens system adapted to changing light and weather conditions. The design has a futuristic, almost hardware-like form, yet remains deeply rooted in the LV spirit. One of my fashion hits of this “resort season.”

Stok is just the beginning

The LV Ski 2026 collection looks just as intriguing off the slopes. Brushed silk, cashmere pique knits, Sherpa denim, shearling, tweed, and oversized coats create a wardrobe in which you’ll feel perfectly at ease both in the restaurant and at the resort. Louis Vuitton combines soft materials with more sporty silhouettes and the signature Monogram. You’ll also find stylish hats, scarves, sweaters reminiscent of resort wear, and creative takes on these classics. There are even chic rubber micro-crampons in chocolate brown with a pink Monogram. Personally, it’s the first time I’ve seen such an accessory in a fashion brand’s collection.

Alongside the ski jacket, there are the Alpine Knit Cardigan, Sparkle Signature Cashmere Sweater, Monogram Accent Fleece Jacket, Monogram Toweling Zip-Up Jacket, Tweed Scarf Coat, Reversible Cape with Ribbed Collar, and Bijoux Button Glitter Tweed Blazer.

LV doesn’t forget about shoes. The Cortina line includes mules and ankle boots with a contoured sole, available in versions such as suede and shearling, as well as technical nylon with the Monogram. There are also Rangers Territory boots and sneakers finished with suede and shearling. These models are perfect both for a dinner at a Michelin-starred restaurant and for a walk through snow-covered streets.

Goggles, stylish crampons, and a handbag instead of a backpack?

Leather goods are, of course, one of the most important parts of the collection. Louis Vuitton uses three distinctive directions: Monogram Pearly, Monogram Miroir, and Monogram Empreinte Frozen. The Monogram Miroir is particularly striking, featuring a silvery, holographic finish inspired by Louis Vuitton’s metal trunks from the late 19th century. The bags have either a futuristic hologram style or look like plush, fluffy toys.

For me, the biggest hit is definitely the LV Lodge model. The bag is literally shaped like the classic residences found in Swiss or French Alpine resorts. It’s not practical, it’s not comfortable. It looks more like an accessory for a fireplace or a dresser than a handbag—it’s a fashion gem that absolutely delights me.

She won’t be the only stylish one at the resort. The collection also includes a beret and a bandana for dogs—these pet clothes are also adorned with the monogram.

Quality: here Louis Vuitton doesn’t pretend to be a technical brand

The most interesting fact is that where the collection is meant to be technical, Louis Vuitton actually introduces features characteristic of ski apparel.

In jackets, I appreciate waterproof fabrics, taped seams, ventilation, a snow skirt, a ski-pass pocket, and a place for goggles. Appearance, style, and functionality. At the same time, the LV ski collection is not a direct competitor to sports brands and does not aspire to be.

LV Ski 2026. Is it exceptional?

Accessories like pendants, dog clothes, microspikes, or a handbag reminiscent of resort buildings are, in my opinion, truly unique. Similarly, trunks, goggles, or holographic bags that look like shimmering ice. LV skillfully combines playful fashion with the technical requirements of sportswear. It’s imaginative, soft, warm, enveloping, classic, and modern at the same time.

Against the backdrop of other collections, LV Ski 2026 stands out primarily for its scale and the way it combines categories. With several innovative solutions, such as the aforementioned goggles, and very stylish options for the afternoon.

This is not a small capsule with just one jacket and a few accessories. Louis Vuitton itself describes it as a wardrobe encompassing the various stages of a mountain journey. With a healthy dose of distance and a sense of humor.

That’s why the collection can essentially be read as a luxury resort wardrobe with a technical core and a sense of playfulness. And what else should a stay in Courchevel, St. Moritz, or Davos be if not fun, relaxation, and quality time well spent?
